The Philippines participated in the 19th Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT &CMA) held at the Bangkok Convention Center on 4 to 6 October 2011.
Joining the Philippine contingent led by the Department of Tourism-Tourism Promotions Board (DOT-TPB), were the following Philippine companies:
• Afro Asian Travel;• Ex-Link Management & Marketing Services;• Intas Destination Management;• Marco Polo Plaza Cebu;• Philippine Airlines;• Philippine International Convention Center; • SMX Convention Center; • Sofitel Philippine Plaza; and
• World Trade Center Manila
According to Ms. Nedalin Miranda, Senior Convention Services Officer of the DOT-TPB, prospective buyers from Asia, Europe and the USA expressed interest in the Philippines and what it offers as a venue for Meetings-Incentives-Conference and Exhibition (MICE).
The IT&CMA, known as the Asia-Pacific region’s leading international MICE show, brought together MICE suppliers and buyers in a 3-day exhibition showcase. The event featured, among others, destinations, products, services and solutions relative to the MICE industry.
The 19th IT & CMA was held together with the 14th Corporate Travel World.
