The colors of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were hoisted for the first time at the Philippine Embassy grounds in Bangkok in the morning of 8 August 2011. The Philippine Embassy raised the flag on the occasion of the 43rd Foundation Day of ASEAN.
Ambassador Linglingay F. Lacanlale led Philippine Embassy personnel in witnessing the event.
